In a country with nearly unlimited resources, compared to the rest of the world, poverty continues to be an alarming issue in the United States. 14.1% of the population lives in poverty. More than 40 million Americans and minority groups that struggle the most.
Staggering Stats:
56% of those living in poverty are women. For blacks, the poverty rate is 48.8% higher than the national percentage
