Economic Empowerment Program
The Economic Empowerment Program (EEP) is a (12-month) pioneering Community and Economic Development training program that helps participants break the cycle of poverty through empowered entrepreneurship and minority business development. Unlike many programs for underrepresented groups, Millionaire Mastermind Academy seeks to improve local communities to benefit Economic Growth.
When more women work, economies grow. Women’s economic empowerment boosts productivity, increases economic diversification and income equality, and other positive development outcomes.
It’s widely known that women in America are more likely to face financial and employment disparities than men. Research conducted by the Institute for Policy Studies Inequality Project indicates that 63% of workers paid the federal minimum wage of only $7.25 were women. The Census Bureau reported that over 1 out of every 4 households led by women lived in poverty, and 1 out of every 3 women of color were living in poverty in 2018.
This programming convenes monthly to provide an hour-long training focused on the essential elements of starting and sustaining a successful business. The events allow participants to connect with and learn from major business stakeholders, including government and private sector executives, experienced business owners, potential investors, and other high-profile leaders from various industries.
